chuck brown was d.c. in a farewell ceremony scheduled for stand and thursday -- for today and thursday certainly fitting for a man who did so much for d.c. we'll see 200-foot monitors with a video montage running continuously of brown's performances along with his guitar that will also be on display. the family we're told has asked in lieu of flowers that fans actually donate to his foundation. they're working on a nonprofit status right now but his foundation according to the website is geared toward helping with the homelessness and helping with folks who are trying to reintroduce themselves into site after being incarcerated. we know that was very dear to chuck brown's heart because we know that he spent some time behind bars himself as a young person and literally reinvented himself when he got out of prison. he changed his last name, used his mother's maiden name i should say and literally taught himself how to play guitar and turned to music. we're told that he actually swapped cigarettes in jail fo
